You take care of your career.
We'll take care of the tax part.
Working or moving across borders? We’ll help you keep things clear.
Whether you're relocating for work, already living in the Netherlands as an expat, or simply trying to understand your tax and social security position: you’re not alone. Living and working across borders often means navigating unfamiliar tax rules, deadlines, and forms. That’s where we come in.
At Taxmanager, we support international professionals with tax services that are clear, accurate and personal. From claiming the 30% Expat Scheme, to filing your income tax return or arranging your social security coverage, we’ll make sure it’s done right, on time, and with you in mind.
The 30% Expat Scheme: tax benefits for employees from abroad
If you’ve moved to the Netherlands for work, you may be eligible for the 30% Expat Scheme. This tax advantage allows your employer to pay you up to 30% of your salary tax-free. It’s designed to offset the extra costs of living abroad.
Who is the 30% Expat Scheme intended for?
The 30% Expat Scheme is intended for people who come from outside the Netherlands and bring specific expertise. A number of conditions apply, such as:
-
You were recruited from abroad by a Dutch employer.
-
You meet the income threshold set by the Dutch Tax Authorities.
-
You have not lived or worked in the Netherlands for more than five years during the past 25 years.
There may be additional conditions or exceptions. Feel free to reach out! We're happy to look at your situation together.

We bring clarity to complex tax matters, for people, across borders.
How we support you
Applying for the 30% Expat Scheme involves strict deadlines and detailed paperwork. And mistakes can mean missing out on the benefit. The application must be submitted within four months of your first working day in the Netherlands to receive the full advantage.
